Way too often we get too caught up in the hustle and bustle of normal everyday life that we lose touch with whom we are, what makes us happy, who and what we want to be, what we want out of life, what we want our life in the future to look like and how far we have come in life already.
This complete obsession of going to work to earn money and then move up the food chain in organisations to get paid more and more money often makes us lose touch with whom we really are and what we really want our future to look like.
By day dreaming and visualising what we want our future to look like and how we will get there we regain alignment with our true selves, it brings us back to our centre and core drivers, helps us to recognise what our core needs are whether that is certainty, connection, variety or significance. These are our core needs. They are the things that motivate us, help us get more driven and help us to concentrate on what is important to us. Sometimes these core needs are mistaken for money, power, selfishness, greed, jealousy, which are all elements of our ego.
When we let go of our ego on the outside world through visualisation and dreaming, we are brought back to our core and back to what it is that will really make us happy, which isn’t always a possession from the outside world. At if we learn to look internally and fulfil our internal needs, we have a great sense of achievement, a great feeling of peace, joy, love satisfaction with ourselves and our lives.
If you can’t sit there and visualise on your own them go on to YouTube and find a good guided mediation that will help you to visualise and dream. Visualising and dreaming big are well worth doing as they not only motivate you towards your goals and your dream life, but they quieten the mind and have relaxational benefits. ©
